How Do I Meet People?
Haysville United Methodist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Haysville United Methodist Church. We are also open to making some other groups and finding you a place that fits. If you want to learn more about giving while part of a church, visit this page.
Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Haysville United Methodist Church is interested in starting small bible studies held in member homes. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve. At a time, designated by your group, you can participate in the small group study. Please let us know if you’d like to be in a new small group that is forming. We have a new Bible Study on Wednesday nights about Discovering your spiritual gifts. If you’d like to be involved in this class, follow this link to our class page.
Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is very interested in helping instruct children. The youth ministry of Haysville United Methodist Church is recognized for their close interaction.
Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Haysville United Methodist Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people. Join us on our Mission Trip!
Haysville United Methodist Women
HUMW gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. There are several circles in which you can get involved at different levels of commitment. The ladies get together for times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church. The women also organize several annual events to raise money for missions such as the Thanksgiving turkey dinner, the February candy sales, and others.
Haysville United Methodist Men
Haysville United Methodist Men get together on a monthly basis. They also organize several large events each year to raise money for missions as well. They also offer support for some fellowship events at church.
Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. Haysville United Methodist Church offers bible studies for couples wishing to study together about topics that interest them. We also want to organize some fun, social times with others.
Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begin. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-50 group of Haysville United Methodist Church provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry would be a fun way to have older believers meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ. We can work to organize a great new ministry if you are interested in it.
